Explore Dubai from the Comfort of a Blueground Home
To visit Dubai and be surrounded by amazing modern architecture, beaches, and desert is always an awe-inspiring experience. Iconic landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, JBR Beach, and Dubai Marina took on new life for me on a recent visit. Instead of booking into a hotel, I opted to explore Dubai from the comfort of a Blueground Home. Our luxury Blueground apartment made me feel part of modern Dubai.
Things to See from a Blueground Home in Dubai
Burj Khalifa
Standing 828 m tall, the Burj Khalifa is the worldโs tallest building. It rises from the desert as a shimmering monument to Dubaiโs transformation from a fishing village to a global real estate hub.
The Burj Khalifa does not only hold the world record for the tallest building. Here are six more world records the Burj Khalifa is still holding onto:
But the Burj Khalifa is more than just impressive facts and figures. A living, breathing building which is often described as the heart and soul of Dubai City.
For a birdโs eye view of Dubai, thereโs only one place to go โ the Burj Khalifaโs observation deck at 555 m on the 148th floor. And while youโre there, you might as well enjoy the view while sipping on a drink in the SKY lounge.
Donโt worry if you’re not brave enough to go that high. Thereโs another observation deck over two stories on the 124th and 125th floors of the Burj Khalifa. And thereโs no time to be scared once youโre in the lift. It whisks you off to the 124th floor in one minute!
JBR Beach
When itโs time for fun in the sun in Dubai City, JBR Beach is the place to be. This bustling beach and waterfront area in the Dubai Marina is filled with people enjoying life. Thereโs something for everyone at JBR Beach โ from sunbathing and volleyball on the beach, to swimming and parasailing in the water to dining and shopping along the beachfront.
The JBR in JBR Beach stands for Jumeirah Beach Residence โ a luxury waterfront community filled with apartments and hotel rooms in impressive high-rise buildings. Anyone, however, can access the JBR Beach.
Dubai Marina
One look at the Dubai Marina confirms that Dubai developers do things on a grand scale. The artificial canal city breathes luxury. Fabulous yachts are parked in the winding canal while their owners are living the high life in one of the residential towers on shore.
Known as New Dubai, you can enjoy the Dubai Marina by hanging out on JBR Beach or breaking the bank in the shops and restaurants. The Walk at JBR, an upmarket beach promenade, is filled with exclusive boutiques. Fortunately, thereโs also a more budget-friendly shopping option in the form of the outdoor Covent Garden Market in the Dubai Marina.
Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab is another beacon of modern Dubai and arguably the most luxurious hotel in the world. But what most ordinary visitors to Dubai takes away from the Burj Al Arab, is the site of the distinctive sail-shaped building dominating the skyline.
The Burj Al Arab stands tall and proud on its artificial island. Hotel reviewers love to call it the worldโs first 7-star hotel. Those lucky enough to stay in one of its 201 suites, can choose to dine in world-class restaurants or relax next to five swimming pools and a private beach.
Tip: Want to know what it looks inside the Burj Al Arab? Save up for a special treat by booking a table at one of the nine Burj Al Arab restaurants. Or go for high tea in the Skyview Bar.
Our Stay with Blueground Homes
Blueground Homes really made us feel at home during our stay in Dubai. They offer luxury high rise accommodation in over 70 residential towers in the city. No matter what you want to see and do in Dubai, Blueground Homes has an apartment nearby.
Our stunningly furnished apartment was in a residential building with amazing amenities such as an outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym. Families with kids can even make use of a daycare and playground facility.
Inside our apartment, we were surprised by excellent workspace, a fully equipped kitchen, and 1.5 baths. If we did want to try out the kitchen equipment, there was a grocery store across the road with a pharmacy next to it for emergency aches and pains.
A member of the Blueground Homes team in Dubai was always available to make our experience hassle-free. Maintenance issues are quickly and conveniently reported and attended to through the Blueground App. You can even order a housekeeper this way if youโd rather explore the city than do the dishes! ย
Did I mention the beautiful views of the Dubai Marina from our Blueground apartment? I guess itโs to be expected from a building with 80 floors.
Blueground Homes currently offers apartments for rent in Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, San Francisco, Istanbul, Dubai, and Athens. They are specially chosen to be in ideal city locations, most likely vibrant neighborhoods close to public transport.
After our Dubai visit, I canโt wait to visit another beautifully designed Blueground space!
Exploring Dubai from the comfort of a Blueground home makes a lot of sense. I can certainly recommend staying in one of Blueground homes Dubai apartments when exploring modern Dubai. The proximity to Burj Al Khalifa, the Dubai Marina, and JBR Beach made it so easy to get around to all the attractions of modern Dubai. Returning to a home away from home made the trip so much more enjoyable.
Thank you, Ritz Carlton Dubai, for this fabulous chocolate cake!
