I just came back from an incredible stay at the Beaches resort in Turks and Caicos. Joined by two dear girlfriends and sweet baby Nikola, I got to enjoy the Turks and Caicos all-inclusive experience. Plus, I had gorgeous views of Grace Bay Beach. And the best part? Thanks to Beaches resortsโ€™ partnership with Sesame Street, I got to enjoy some grown up time with the girls. All while Nikola had the most fun in their on-site childcare. Want to hear more about my time in Turks and Caicos?

Visiting Turks and Caicosย

Turks and Caicos is a group of 40 low-lying coral islands in the Caribbean. All are gorgeous, but the island of Providenciales (Provo) is the most populated. Plus, it’s home to the world-famous Grace Bay Beach. Grace Bay Beach is the World Travel Awardsโ€™ Worldโ€™s Leading Beach Destination.ย

Fun fact! Grace Bay Beach is named for Grace Jane Hutchings. Her husband was former Turks and Caicos Commissioner, Hugh Houston Hutchings.ย

On its own, Grace Bay Beach offers three miles of pristine beach. It connects to Leeward Beach on its eastern tip and Bight Beach on its western border. So you get a gorgeous stretch of white sand. Meaning endless opportunities for shell hunting, swimming and soaking up that Caribbean sun!

Water sports are also a big deal here. Try paddle boarding, kayaking, parasailing, jet and water skiing, windsurfing and more. All are great options! If you want to explore the ocean on a deeper level, try scuba diving, snorkeling or snuba diving (a fun combination of snorkeling and scuba diving). Youโ€™re guaranteed to enjoy gorgeous sea life anywhere you launch. But Smithโ€™s Reef is a favorite point for spotting Eagle rays and Hawksbill Turtles.ย

To visit Grace Beach, arrive at Providenciales International Airport. From there, you can reach Grace Bay Beach by cab, rental car or shuttle. It is only 15 minutes away. Guests of Beaches resort enjoy free shuttle service to their hotel. And it sits directly on the beach!

Turks and Caicos and Beaches Resort by the Numbers:

  • 1962: the year Turks and Caicos Islands became a separate islandย
  • 3: the number of times that the islands considered joining Canadaย
  • 40 low-lying coral islands make up Turks and Caicosย
  • 10 pools at Beaches Turks and Caicos
  • Plus, a 45,000-square-foot Pirates water parkย
  • And 21 restaurants
  • 4 differently themed resort areas. They are Caribbean, Old World Italian Village, Casual Key West and luxurious French villa. And each has unique dรฉcor, gardens, restaurants and shopsย
  • All on the 12-mile Grace Bay beach front
  • Which earned a #1 rating by TripAdvisor Travelers

Staying at Beaches Turks and Caicos

During my time at the Beaches Resort Turks and Caicos, my friends, baby Nikola and I stayed in a luxurious two-bedroom ocean view suite. It was in the Caribbean village. One of the best parts of staying at this Turks and Caicos All-inclusive is the included butler services. Beaches resort partners with a guild of professional butlers. So your stay includes customized room preferences, welcome cocktails and unpacking services if desired.ย

Our butlers, Ceomar & Kemali, were the best! They brought us breakfast and cappuccinos each morning, coordinated our dinner reservations, baby Nikolaโ€™s in-room dining, beach- and pool-side cabanas & meals, boat rides, professional photography photoshoot, and even steamed my friendโ€™s clothes!

Having these services was such a treat. But the real difference-maker for me was the Beaches resort Sesame Streets day care.

Camp Sesame

Beaches Turks & Caicos is the absolute best for families. In fact, itโ€™s one of the only places in the world you can vacation with the cast of Sesame Street! At Camp Sesame, young travelers can bake with Cookie Monster,ย  have tea time with Abby & Elmo, and do arts and crafts with Bert & Ernie. There is also a Sesame Street Parade! VIP Sesame packages offer character breakfasts and nightly tucking from a friendly monster.ย

For me, the best part was knowing that I could enjoy adult time while baby Nikola had a blast in Camp Sesame. Happy child, happy life, thanks to Beaches resort, am I right? Little Nikola enjoyed services for toddlers, which includes a nursery with cribs, rocking chairs, high chairs and strollers. The dedicated staff can supervise naps, feed meals and change diapers.ย

Children can also enjoy the special toddler pool located at Camp Sesame. School age kids have two camps to choose fromโ€”one for the 5 to 7 crew, and one for children ages 8 to 10. Each group enjoys age-appropriate activities with constant adult supervision. From boat rides to water slides and snorkeling, you and your family would never want to leave, from what I saw!ย

Even tween and teens can get in on the fun. Thereโ€™s everything from โ€œdive-in moviesโ€ and karaoke to a dedicated night club area to keep kids entertained and happy.ย

This looks like such a beautiful place to stay, and it’s great that you could take your toddler with you too. I also love the fact that you had butlers – definitely a life goal!
